The United Nations Climate Change Conference was held in Copenhagen so its seems only fitting that Kro, Manchester’s Danish village pub has teamed up with Foundation, a climate fund for the Northwest, to ask customers to compensate for their carbon emissions and help fund community carbon reduction projects across Greater Manchester.
To encourage customers in the Northwest to think about their carbon footprint, Kro and Foundation will be launching a campaign across all six restaurant/bar venues.
We will be asking customers to donate to Foundation by giving 10p towards the cost of every side portion of chips, wedges and salads that we sell in our restaurants. These funds will go directly towards community projects across Greater Manchester that are helping to combat climate change, whilst advancing social justice and tackling problems like fuel poverty. These projects also range from insulating community halls to providing renewable energy in schools.
Kro will also contribute one percent of the value of each buffet ordered through our catering branch to Foundation.
